During my first year as a member of the Board we helped correct a significant budget shortage. While some decisions were difficult and did not make [...]

To Whom It May Concern:
This letter states my intention to run for a position on the Cobblefield Point Homeowners’ Association Board of Directors.
I have felt, at times, that Cobblefield Point residents have needed a stronger voice to represent us and I envision the Board giving residents [...]
Wedding: Check
Well, we’re back from the honeymoon and I’m already wishing we could go back to Hawaii. It was awesome. But, this is a wedding recap post, so I’ll leave the honeymoon notes for another post.
We had perfect weather for our big day and that pretty much describes how everything went. Like [...]
Google Maps Fail
Well, now that is interesting…
http://maps.google.com/?q=3840+Thornhill+Circle+Champaign+IL
Apparently Google maps can no longer locate my condo or my complex for that matter. I blame the developers….the address on the signage reads “Thornhill Drive”, but every piece of paper I signed for my contract reads “Thornhill Circle”. Now which is it?
All for now.
Event 2008qza6
It’s 4:30 in the morning and generally I am sound asleep, except I was just up at 4 to relieve some fluids (I’ve been drinking a lot of water lately). The next thing I know, I awake to what sounds like something hitting the vent that leads to the roof from the furnace closet…only [...]
“Important information for our valued customers.”
A flyer came in the mail while I was working in Chicago-land this week. I had been waiting for this one, but wondered when it would actually happen…didn’t take Comcast long.
They should have titled it, “We are raising your rates and not giving you any more HD channels. Suck on that!”
I should stop bitching [...]
“Unofficial”
With the big “to do” about Unofficial going on around the CU area, I decided to drive through Campus this morning on my way to work. I saw lots of students out and about wearing green and clearly not heading to class, but to some other function. As Kenny put it, “lots of students…no backpacks”.
Clearly, [...]
Thumbs Down!
To Jimmy John’s on 807 S. Lincoln Ave (328-3100) in Urbana for no longer delivering to my office. Apparently, 2.1 miles falls into the category of “we don’t go out that far any more.”
Sigh.
All for now.
2008 Primary
So, Tuesday is the primary in Illinois and a host of other states, thus the term “Super Tuesday”. I wanted to verify my polling location as I had yet to vote after moving to the new condo.
While searching for my polling place, I came across a few PDFs that are sample ballots of what [...]
Re: Strike 2
As Kenny put it, “We’re stuck in lame duck hell for 2 more months”. That sucks.
